About LH Aviation

Built by pilots, for pilots. We understand what aircraft owners need because we're aircraft owners ourselves.

Our story

Premium hangars, built to last

We were founded with a simple mission: to build premium aviation hangars that meet the exacting standards of pilots and aircraft owners. Based in the Southeast, we build T-hangars and box hangars across Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and surrounding states.

Our team combines decades of construction expertise with a deep passion for aviation. Every hangar features quality steel construction, electric bi-fold or hydraulic lift doors, concrete floors and individual electrical panels. From groundbreaking to turnkey delivery, we handle every part of the job, with a completed project at Coweta County (KCCO) and multiple locations in development.

Holly Goins

Holly Goins

Aviation Relationships | Market Demand | Hangar Owner Experience

Around airports throughout the Southeast, Holly Goins is better known by another name: “Hangar Holly (and Jason).” A Louisiana native and LSU graduate, Holly is a straight shooter by nature - approachable, candid and far more interested in solving a problem than dressing it up.

Her professional path to aviation was an unconventional one. Holly is a nurse anesthetist by trade and still spends several days each week in the operating room. Healthcare taught her to listen closely, read people well, stay calm when the stakes are high and never lose sight of the person she is there to serve. Those same instincts shape how she works in aviation today.

Aviation, however, is much more than a business for Holly. She is a pilot, an aircraft builder and someone who genuinely loves the people and culture of general aviation. Building her own airplane deepened that connection and gave her an even greater appreciation for the patience, craftsmanship and determination aviation requires. More importantly, she understands that airports are communities - places where people gather around a shared passion and relationships often matter as much as the airplanes.

That connection helped Holly recognize a problem she kept seeing across the Southeast: pilots needed hangars, airports often had waiting lists, but bringing new hangar inventory to market was anything but simple. She helped Lee Hunter develop a practical approach built around listening first, understanding real demand and then creating a path from interest to development.

Today, Holly spends much of her time closest to the aviation community Lee Hunter serves - talking with airport leaders, pilots, prospective hangar owners and local aviation groups. Her role often begins with understanding what people need and whether a real market exists. From there, she remains involved as the project moves through planning, development and ultimately construction. Empathetic without pretense, plain-spoken and genuinely enthusiastic about aviation, Holly has made “Hangar Holly” more than a nickname. It is a pretty accurate description of how she shows up for the industry.

Jason Goins

Jason Goins

Construction | Infrastructure | Regulatory & Technical Development

For Jason Goins, Lee Hunter is both a business and a family story. He grew up around construction alongside his stepfather, Don, who founded the original LH Construction. Even the Lee Hunter name reflects that history: Lee is Don’s middle name, and Hunter is Jason’s. Construction has been part of Jason’s life for as long as he can remember, but the perspective he brings to Lee Hunter today was shaped by nearly three decades of increasingly complex construction and development work.

Much of Jason’s career was spent in hospitality construction, where he helped lead the construction and renovation of dozens of hotels. Hospitality proved to be a demanding training ground. Design, budget, code, schedule, operations and customer experience all had to work together. That experience taught Jason to look beyond the building itself and understand the infrastructure, coordination and planning required to make an entire development successful.

That perspective has become especially valuable in aviation. Jason understands that a successful hangar development starts long before steel arrives on site. Civil engineering, grading, drainage, utilities, pavement, geotechnical conditions, site access, permitting and airport requirements all have to be understood early and coordinated well. Surveys, soil borings and infrastructure studies may not be the most visible parts of a project, but they are often the pieces that determine whether the development works over the long term.

Analytical by nature, Jason is comfortable working in the details and navigating complicated regulatory environments. He holds general contractor licenses in eight states and works closely with airport leadership, architects, engineers, local jurisdictions and regulatory authorities to understand the requirements governing each site. Rather than treating those requirements as obstacles, he works to understand the rules, identify the constraints and find a practical path forward.

Jason’s lane often becomes most visible as a project moves from opportunity into execution. He likes solving the hard problems - whether they are underground, buried in a set of plans or somewhere in the approval process. Underneath all of that technical experience is a simple philosophy: do what you said you were going to do, treat people well and build something that works for everyone who has a stake in it.

Kip Oldham

Kip Oldham

Founder, KAOD | Preferred Architectural Partner

A military brat who spent most of his life moving around the Southeast, Kip Oldham learned early how to adapt to new places, people and challenges. He graduated from Auburn University’s School of Architecture in 1993 and founded KAOD in 1996. Nearly three decades later, his firm has built a reputation for leading design and engineering teams through complex commercial projects throughout the region.

Kip approaches architecture with a practical objective: great design has to work — creatively, operationally and financially. His team focuses on helping clients bring their vision to life while making smart use of their investment. That often means balancing aesthetics, constructability, engineering, budget and long-term functionality rather than designing in a vacuum.

Over the years, KAOD has worked across a wide range of building types and project environments. Kip believes that diversity of experience is one of the firm's greatest strengths; every project adds another tool to the toolbox and another way of looking at the problem in front of them. It's an approach that pairs especially well with LH Aviation’s preference for straightforward solutions, collaboration and getting things built.

Kip and KAOD began working with LH Aviation approximately five years ago and have since become an important part of our aviation and commercial development work. Together, the teams have focused on creating efficient, practical design solutions that move projects from an idea on paper to something that can actually be permitted, priced and built — without losing sight of why the client wanted to build it in the first place.
